Today was Katie's first birthday party! (But the big day is Thursday) She got all dressed up in a beautiful velvet dress, an incredibly gorgeous purple velvet humphrey's corner coat, her little black shoes and she looked adorable.

4 of her little friends plus her 3 year old cousin joined 15 adults for a lovely gathering. We played outside, we played with lots of toys, chased balloons, cuddled monkey. She sat like such a grown up girl for the food, very regal in her highchair, with her subjects attending to her every desire and ensuring her entertainment was to the highest standard - exactly how a birthday princess should be treated! (spot Monkey enjoying the party too).

We have some exciting looking parcels ready and waiting for the big day on thursday. Including one that is singing 'it's story time'. Repeatedly.

She was so good, enjoying the company of all the different people, even though we were in an unfamiliar house. She was performing and beaming for everyone, waving, smiling, toddling round. I am so proud to be mummy to this beautiful, clever, happy, little girl. My little Katie. xxxxx
