Jidai Matsuri

I just wrote a long detailed description of this image, but then it disappeared for some reason....so I'm afraid this will have to be brief!

I saw this interesting bunch at Jidai Matsuri today, the 'festival of the ages' (an annual event), showing a huge procession of all of the amazing costumes to come out of Japan.

Not only did we manage to cram in one festival, but TWO! We also went to the Kurama Fire Festival, definitely one of the highlights of Japan so far. Check out Dom's blip for a picture of that one and some more info!
