Give a dog a bone ...

Molly has collected three bones, and Jess wants them. (If this were on video, the noise of Jess barking would be deafening!)

Why is it always like this? If Jess really wanted a bone, there are others in the garden she could go to. And Molly only has them because she knows that it annoys Jess. If I went to one of the other bones and gave it a kick, they would both immediately forget the bones in the picture; they would squabble over the new toy; Molly would get to keep it; and Jess would complain at the unfairness of life.
