Jubilee Pool
Not a lot of time spare today but I did end end up driving along the Promenade at Penzance and just had to stop to photograph the lovely reflections. The Photo is Jubilee pool, a wonderful piece of history that could only have been built in the 1930s. See history . Its a great mix of Art Deco and Cubist architecture.
The boat behind is the coast guard salvage tug that loiters around Falmouth/Penzance/St Ives bays waiting to be needed. Sadly the government has said that this should no longer be state funded and is selling the tugs in the next few years. A real pity in my opinion as a private sector rescue tug is likely to be a few hundred miles away.
NB I have added some more pics of this to my Blipfolio
