Thank you to everyone for the comments. They mean a lot to me! I am a very amateur photographer - just starting to play around w the camera. I really have no idea what I'm doing - especially with the camera I used for this photo (I borrowed it). In particular, night shooting was a challenge. I didn't have a level for my tripod so I had to eyeball it. Not to mention I don't know what all the settings do! I just take photos of things I like and hope they turn out the way I want. Any suggestions on improvement are appreciated!

21 November 2010 - Update

I had a love affair w this camera which I borrowed from a friend for a trip to Rome. Unfortunately (for me) I had to give it back last night. As a thank you to my friend, I printed this photo and another one I took from the same spot during the day and popped them into a nice frame. Great gift!

When we got home, I was having some camera withdrawals and decided to jump onto Blip to check out my photo again because I love the way it looks on this site. To my surprise there were a hundred more comments! I had no idea why and even after reading a few I still didn't get it! Then I finally realised I received BOTW. Thank you to Blip for choosing my photo and thank you to all Blippers for your comments. As I said on Blipblog comments, this is an honour for me given my newbie status on this site and in this venture. I wrote my initial remarks just after I received only a handful of comments and views. I was so happy and appreciative then to have had a few people have a look and enjoy my photo. Imagine how I feel now!
