Wash & Brush Up

The promised snowfall has not arrived in the East Neuk (yet). Just a light sprinkling. It's a beautiful sunny day, but bitterly cold.

When this 'companion seat' was delivered, Jess claimed it as her own within seconds of its being put down. Now it is her favourite spot for being groomed.

In the foreground is a plastic bag hanging from the cheminea. This is where Mrs jml puts the fluff combed out of Jess & Molly's coats. Although beardies are well known for not moulting, there is still a lot of hair which comes off each day. The hair accumulates in the plastic bag and either goes to nesting birds in the spring or adds to the fuel for the cheminea when we light it.
