B for Chicken?
Number 2 in the occasional series.
Everything is frozen here, including the food. And the roads.
Bit of a drama this evening, with the pregnant lady next door in an ambulance which was stuck in the snow and ice.
We only knew about this when a neighbour knocked to ask if we had a spare shovel. We lent our only proper shovel, and Naomi went out with a seaside spade to help dig, while I frantically searched the garage for more shovels, which we don't have.
The ambulance got away in the end, with snow blizzarding down and lightening lighting up the sky. It was a weird and forboding atmosphere.
Before all that, the kids were happy because all their schools were closed, although the girls didn't find out until after they had walked there. Their school is famous for staying open when lesser institutions succumb to the conditions, so you can guage from that that it is pretty snowy here today.
