What a difference a Day Makes

After gettting home last night after this weeks snowy adventure, it was clear that Emsie and Oliver were suffering from cabin fever. So, we decided that it would be a good idea for them both to get out of the house this weekend.

Woke up this morning to see that the vast majority of the snow had thawed away after heavy rain - thus making life easier. I had a hire car to return, and would need picking up from Avis afterwards.

Olivers swimming lesson quickly followed (with its half hour of peace for me and Emsie to catch up). Then it was off to the sheep shearers hairdressers for everyone. Lunch followed afterwards and then a spell at Gunwharf Quays winterwonderland.

Emsie was very kind and picked up my camera. Only snag was that the memory card was still in the computer from last nights uploading. My phone (with its own camera) played up. So, Emsie came to the rescue with her phone and produced this nice shot. Oliver was clearly enjoying the help of this penguin to get some balance - so much so that he wants to go back again tomorrow.

I reckon I will give it till next weekend, and maybe try a different ice rink - or maybe even hold off till we are in Scotland at Christmas. Edinburgh perhaps?!
