Bauble Hunt
Santa Claus took time out from his preperations for his annual world trip to help raise some money for Naomi House, a local charity based in Hampshire. To do this, he needed as many children as possible to have a look around Bere Forest for some coloured pine cones that had been scattered round by the cheeky elves. Each child that took part would have the chance to meet Santa Claus and collect a chocolate selection box.
Naturally, Oliver was keen to take part and help out, so we arrived early before the crowds built up. Getting a 5 year old boy to stand still for more than a milisecond proved impossible today, so it was left to Emsie to pose for todays blip. Oliver was more interested in running off and making friends! I couldn't decide which one to use, so I thought I would stick them both together. Emma had just bought herself a new pair of boots yesterday (instead of waiting for Santa!), so she was eager to try them out. "My feet are just toastie" was her favourite comment of the day, so the cup of coffee at the end of the walk was well deserved. Bearing in mind that Emma is nearly 32 weeks pregant with our second child, it was lovely to get out in the fresh air today - despite the lingering frost and fog in the air. We even found some lingering snow, which kept Olive happy as well.
Best news of the day.... Copnor Infants is open for business tomorrow!! Happy Days all round!
