Testing, testing
Driving up towards Toulouse today the skies were clear, and their was lots of activity up there. I think this is one of the Airbus A380s (but I might be wrong) undergoing some engine testing.
So, in glorious weather, we arrived for the second viewing of one of our shortlisted houses. That went well: things were mostly how we remembered - though the enormous scary barking dog in the farm over the road was new. Right opposite where the veg garden would be too. I think if we bought it a big screening hedge would be the first planting job - this dog was going crazy whenever it saw me.
We drove off up the road after the viewing for a walk in a sort of national recreational forest nearby. And it started snowing - which was unexpected. We don't get a lot of that in the Languedoc: Midi Pyrenees is a whole new world. I have lots of lovely snowy pictures, but you're probably bored of them. Or you could have a photo of the house, but then what would I blip if we bought it?
We stayed in the nearest town to the other main shortlisted house - the mad option house. Lovely meal out with the kids. They were so unbelievably well behaved that it was like having a meal out with Mr B alone - just with two small artists sitting at our table minding their own business. Delicious food too. I'm cringing at remembering some of the terrible French used in the drunken conversation with the delightful waitress - but we seemed to amuse her.
I could grow to like that town a lot.
