The Wharf, Calne

I was pleased to see that Swanny is alive and well, not having seen him for awhile, and swimming gracefully up and down The Wharf. Unlike last Friday's shot of The Wharf, this was taken at 15:55 hr, five minutes before sunset, and from the side of the canal, looking eastwards along New Road.

I am always struck by the contrast between the comparitively serene world on the canal and the other world on the A4, cars heading off towards Marlborough, or commuting home from places such as Swindon or Reading.
