Nigella nightmares

Against everyones advice I shunned the family christmas pud recipes in favour of nigellas.
Yuk! I have just spent 4 hours steaming it and it tastes off.
Its all her fault, nothing to do with the fact that my vegetarian suet went out of date in 2003.
