The Rope Forest

The latest installation on the Carlsberg grounds, about a minute and a half walk from my front door, is this quite amazing piece of street art. Three such projects with various themes take up 25000 m2 now. I havn't seen the others yet, so guess what you'll be seeing soon. Carlsberg have recently moved mainstream production from this site and there are now plans to develop the whole area over the next 10 years or so into a new district of Copenhagen (it's the size of a small town), with it own train station and everything. So in the mean time we get to see some alternative uses for this huge area.

Oh, yes, nearly forgot - that's me, handsome ain't I ?

These projects are created by two teams who I'd better credit: Keinicke and Overgaard + UIWE together with Primus Arkitekter + Streetmovement. All at a cost of around 7 million Kroner (around £850,000) provided by ...... you guessed it Carlsberg and our local council (among others).
