Snow Patrol

Buckets of the stuff came down this morning, soon putting paid to my surprise night away for my 21st birthday tomorrow. Out we went instead on foot to the supermarket, with both it and the nearby John Lewis eerily quiet on what should be the busiest day of the year. Provisions bought (cake, hot chocolate, more cake, and cooked brekkie ingredients), we hiked back through the drifts and are settling in for the weekend.
