A Bad Jetta Year
I had to take our Jetta in for repair today. It needed new glow plugs and bus bar, and a new EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve. The 2003 diesel Jetta is very prone to EGR system problems. Ours had to have some work done on it two years ago, and will need more work before long.
In April we had to replace the fuel injection pump and battery -- that was just under $2000.
Next year we'll have the 90,000 mile service to look forward to. I don't want to know just now what that's going to cost.
I hope my Visa card doesn't wear out before the new one comes.
