Shinigami

A death god from Japan.

This particular one is from an excellent series of comics/cartoons/films called Death Note in which the god in question throws his notebook down to earth one day where it is picked up by a young man. Whenever this man writes a persons name in the book, the person dies. Hilarity ensues.
