Another shot of Sao Paulo
This time taken from the top of the Transamerica building on Alameda Santos, where there's a bar and restaurant called The View and worth a visit and a step out onto the terrace just for the view. That's what we did - took a taxi there with our cameras and then dropped the cameras off in our aparthotel again before heading off down the road to our favourite little Japanese restaurant for sushimi and sushi for dinner. It's not really advisable to walk anywhere when it's dark in SP. Luckily, taxis are safe and reliable and happy to take you just a couple of blocks. The row of buildings on the right of the photo which has all the aerials up top, is lining Avenida Paulista, the main commercial thoroughfare in the city. I just heard today that on the last day of the year here (Friday) there's a 15 km run which starts and finishes on Paulista and it's meant to be very atmospheric, so we might go there on Friday. It's just 5 blocks up from where our aparthotel is. When we lived here we always walked along it on a Sunday, when there's an art and crafts fair.
Bb's shot looking in the other direction is here
