Maybe next year...

1 in 365 chance isn't the smallest odds you could take but those are the chances we managed to throw today. Poor Bethany had to be admitted to hospital halfway through the day.

She managed to pick up a nasty chest infection which meant she had to stay overnight in hospital. I guess the likelihood of this happening again are pretty slim although we are doubling our odds come January.

Really she doesn't get what all the fuss is all about with christmas so hopefully next year we'll have a more settled day.

I did get a new experience in the shape of my daughter sleeping beside me pretty peacefully even if it was under the dimmed neon of the childrens ward.
