A very brief pause when it's your first birthday and you're on the go with so much to do.

A very pleasant day with a lunchtime celebration for Max, coffee with a cousin and her family as they passed through Christchurch and friends around for dinner.

Just keeping an eye on the fur child though, he seems out of sorts and subdued. I had been wondering and my guests commented on it. I'm hoping it's been the recent earthquakes and nothing more sinister.
