A dreary day in Metro Garden

I built a planter to fit the dashboard of my car several years ago, and this mild, rainy winter has been very good for the random little plants that grow there. The windshield nicely lets in light and keeps out breezes, and a couple of securely mounted canisters of water provide some thermal inertia to hold heat through cool nights and parenthetically keep small areas of the windshield free of fog for the mornings. A wonderful little micro-world of vegetation that also works to keep the air fresh in my little car.
