Trimmed Pecan Grove
After the early November harvest of pecans, the trees are trimmed and prepared for the spring renewal. You can already see the new growth beginning on the branches above the trimmed areas. These bare trees are a stark reminder of winter in the desert.
This is a slice of the largest irrigated pecan grove in the world. It is located in Sahuarita, Arizona. The mountains in the background are the Santa Ritas.
