Decorative But Useful
This is one of those metal boxes, usually painted battleship grey or institutional green, that house traffic light controls (I think). It was painted by a popular and prolific local artist, Ben Mann. Not only is it cheerful, but it provides directional guidance to the tourists who flock to Fairhaven year-round. One of the arrows points to the shoe store just visible on the left; another arrow shows the way to the off-leash dog park, and ... I'll let you figure out the rest yourself.
