Ticking Away the Moments

Vertigo

This is the view from our seats on Friday night at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff - watching England beat Wales 19 - 26 in the first game of the Six Nations.

We were on the very last row of the top level, you can see how close to the roof we were. I was glad they decided to keep the roof closed as I think we may have frozen if it had been open.

It actually made me feel a bit dizzy when I got up there and looked down, but I did get used to it as the game went on. The stadium was full, this photo was taken after the final whistle had gone, so it was beginning to empty out.

We always have a fantastic time when we go to Wales, and this weekend was no exception. Had a few drinks with friends before and after the game, and ended up getting a train back to Newport (where we were staying, Cardiff hotels were all full or £400!) at 1 am.

The Millennium Stadium is amazing, the noise when the Welsh are in full voice singing Bread of Heaven has to be heard to be believed. But we managed to get a couple of choruses of Swing Low Sweet Chariot going!
