On our way

We got a late start to the conference today. It was a really, really bad night for me and my oldest. I can't remember when I've ever been so sick. Temp of 103.7, a sore throat like never before....was pretty sure I'd just melt away into my covers. By morning, I managed to get up and to the rental car. We finished packing and headed on our way.

The weather was beautiful, but we were late. I managed a quick stop over at a beach in either Waldport or Yachats. The waves were crazy, and this image is the one right before a massive wave splashed right in front of me.

I managed to make it to my conference just at the start of the first session. I missed lunch, but I was happy to be there in time for the rest. I nodded off about three times during the first session. Very embarrassing.

We found a nice Thai restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing service and food. We ordered Tom Yum soup by recommendation of the chef to help with our coughing. It was amazing.

So it's back early and off to bed for us. I have an early start tomorrow....
