Discovering the Waterfront.
Silverstein.
I went for a walk today in Granville with two goals:
-Find the lake. Take pictures.
-Find the cows. Take pictures.
I also wanted to stop by a park I hadn't been to before.
The park was on top of a small hill,
which actually wasn't a bad walk up.
I was disappointed to find nothing more than a rock and benches.
I walked down the hill and headed to the lake.
I actually knew where it was so it wasn't hard to find.
I was disappointed there were ropes and "no tresspassing" signs,
because I wanted to hang out on the sand. And the geese were there.
But at least I found it! And took pictures!
Opposite the road to the lake was the river,
and there was a deer watching me.
There were several deer on the walk, actually.
Then I walked down the bike path towards Newark.
I didn't go as far as Newark, but it was definitely
a longer walk than I'm used to.
(The path also went past the 'new' graveyard in town.)
And I just wanted to keep walking until I found the cows.
Along the path was this glove that creeped me out a bit?
And... someone had a private tennis court in their back yard.
I walked, and walked, and.... found the field for the cows!
...But no cows!
I looked around more and found them in an area between houses,
but didn't walk over to blip because that would've been tresspassing.
The walk back to campus was long... my legs are really sore! :)
(Oh, this tree always makes me think of Dr. Suess whenever I see it.)
[A year ago today... ladder on the dance floor.]
