Heathrow

We left my parents' house at 6 this morning to get to Heathrow.

Nightmare finding the hire car place (the instructions were far too simple, we should have guessed they bore no resemblance to reality!)

Even though we arrived at the terminal an hour later than planned, we were the first in the queue and went through check-in, customs and security with breath-taking speed. The airline ladies and the security guys had a bit of a laugh and a joke with us, which was so far removed from what we had expected that we were blown away.

Our flight was delayed getting off the ground because of some strike or other in Frankfurt Airport but we got there just in time to catch our plane to Tokyo.

Unispired blip today but I think I have a pretty good excuse!

BTW, I'll update the Paris photos tomorrow (as in Sunday) when I'm a bit more awake - Jetlag!
