Almost out

I was confined to quarters today, pottering around and trying not to cough too hard. Casting around for a blip subject I noticed that the first orchid flower is almost out.

It's been a long wait. I remembered blipping the first appearance of the flower shoot but had to trawl a heck of a way back through the journal to find it - at the beginning of October! This simply serves to demonstrate what an unsuitable environment for an exotic orchid is a north-facing kitchen windowsill during a Scottish winter.
