A flood without rain

It's not even rainy season, but we were splashing in the water!

This evening I came up stairs to find all the girls crowded in a room with buckets, mops, and towels. The faucet in the bathroom was left on causing the bucket it was filling to overflow and then the water to flow out into a few bedrooms nearby. It was ankle deep by the time someone found it and turned it off.

We spent the evening scooping up water, soaking it up with whatever we could find and carrying bucketful after bucketful out. By the end of the night, everyone was singing and laughing as we finished cleaning. It was so good to see the students come together and help each other. They were all really good sports about it.

One thing is for sure, now those three rooms have the cleanest floors of the dorm!
