Right Here Right Now

Flowers (non Valentine!)

The flowers were given to me for my birthday, beautiful tulips that looked wonderful when they were closed and look even better today now they are starting to open up.

The picture is a painting that Jeanne did at school - it's stunning and I love it. She has aspergers, mild but it means that she finds some things very easy and some things not so easy.

She has been having some extra support at school for the last few months - to help with her literacy and handwriting. She has been looking at Monet's paintings and using descriptive writing to accompany them.

As a reward for working hard on her handwriting the last lesson was an hour of painting - and she came home with her beautiful creation.

I have been looking for a frame for it so I can hang it somewhere and I can show it off to everyone who calls round, I haven't found the right one yet but I will.

She is so proud of herself - but not as proud as me!

She has been through a complete upheaval of what she knows, her routine and the life she has been used to during the last few months and she is coping admirably. She's an inspiration to us all.

I am going to mention the V word - I'm here alone on Valentines night, but feeling loved up - not bodice ripping passion but love for family and those special people in my life. You know who you are.

Thank you.

"For your heart is like a flower as it grows,
And its the rain, not just the sun that helps it bloom,
And you don't know how it feels to be alive,
Until you know how it feels to die
