Left Luggage

[start of embarrassing story]

When I set out to spend the weekend at my parents I packed up all my underwear and socks to wash them at my parents house (something entirely acceptable while being a student). So today when returning home I gathered all the washed underwear and socks, stuffed it in a plastic bag and went to the train. When I arrived in Groningen, I was happily cycling home, thinking about how nice it was to have all my underwear washed, when I suddenly realised I didn't actually have it with me. I turned around and cycled back to the station like a madmen. Parked my bike and ran to the platform. When I came across two ladies from the railways I asked them if the train on track 3 was still open because I left a bag. They looked at me smilingly and asked me what kind of bag, as I started telling them (probably looking very excited from all the fast cycling and running and fear of having lost ALL my underwear and socks) they asked me if it was something like this, while pointing at my bag of laundry standing on the counter. What a relief!

(and such luck for them I forgot it on my way back home ... )
