Surveying the situation

This is the local loch called the Gadloch. It normally is not as deep as this but over the last 6/7 months the water level has been rising to the point that it has flooded a good bit of the local golf course, and is gradually creeping to parts of the road. The reason they think is a collapsed colvert. It is not a great photo as it was taken on the move but if you look at what looks like a small island at the middle right hands side of the photo the island is actually the top of some trees and the two thin pole just poking out the water are actually telegraph poles. The trees on the far shore that are dipping there branches in the water are actually under water as are the ones to the front of the scene. The helicopter seems to be taking a survey of some sort as it flew up and down the loch, hovering at different points.
Man thinks he's in control then Mother nature shows her hand :)
