Drummin' Out

Took the drumkit outside to save our ears a bit and to see whether we could annoy the neighbours.

In other news I am fair bursting with pride right now. We were so late to swimming yesterday (waited 25 minutes for a bus that's supposed to be every 10, missed half the lesson) that Lucy the teacher said we could do a make-up lesson today. I didn't realise until afterwards that it was 2 levels above our normal class!! I was SO proud of him when he happily rolled over onto his little back and kick-kick-kicked his little legs all the way to the other side. (Lucy was right next to him, but it's the first time he's really done any proper swimming on his back.) 5 minutes before the end he got tired and suddenly veered off-course and made a beeline for me, climbed out crying his eyes out and came for a big cuddle. Happily got back in with me though, so I got to splash for a few minutes too :)

I'm off out now, facepainting at a "Celebrating Cultures" event, leaving Steve and Ben to celebrate cultures in their own Manly fashion and watch the rugby.
