My name is Carol and I've lived in the Pacific Northwest since 1979. Photography has been a life-long interest and love for which I thank my father who was a professional photographer and movie cameraman. Sadly he was not part of my young life, but in the few years he and I had together he taught me a lot -- his legacy is my love of photography.
In the past few years I've been really busy with work and have had little time for taking pictures but I'm determined to change all that and and am so happy to now be a blipper, both for the daily challenge and to have such a wealth of inspiration to look at in the work of others. I'm always trying to learn and improve so I welcome comments, suggestions and tips.
1-year update:
I have had such a great time with my first blip year. The people I've "met" through blipping have added so much to my life and my love of photography. I am so in awe of some of the talent on blip; it's intimidating and inspiring at the same time, but I think inspiring wins. And blippers are wonderfully generous, helpful and encouraging. I love it.
I'm still working full time so haven't yet conquered the problem of time management for taking pictures, but I'm working on it. Blipping has certainly helped because I now know that no matter what the day brings, I can always make time to take at least one picture.
