Another day in paradise.
At least when I sniff this candle I drift away. It's so gorgeous with the woody aromas. Can't wait to light it nearer Christmas. Until then I'll just admire it and sniff it when I get the chance.
Had to call the GP out today as I noticed mum's leg had a touch of cellulitis. She's had a bit of a rash which probably caused her to scratch and that would be all it takes for an infection to take hold. So she's back on the antibiotics and a cream for the rash.
Had to sign something that the GP wasn't happy about us signing, to say that we are giving up on having diabetic eye tests for mum and recognise the dangers of not having these tests.
The issue is that it's not that we don't want to have the tests it's because we cannot get to the clinics.
The GP said she would look into it because she didn't think this was right or fair as these tests are important and patients shouldn't be getting written off just because they cannot make it to the clinics or opticians.
Technology has meant that the tests can't be done in the home because in the opticians they sent the information immediately via a link to the hospital. This can't be done from a person's house.
Transport ambulances aren't funded to cover this kind of treatment apparently.
I've found places online though since talking with the doctor. Luckily there was an option to tick that we are refusing treatment temporarily for six months and hopefully in that time something might be done to help us.
