Christmas Day 2014

After a breakfast of scrambled egg and smoked salmon and a phone call with my sister I snook out for a walk up the lane and across the fields as it was such a perfect day. My brother in law and sister in law are cooking this year so it was a treat to be leisurely.The primroses were spotted at the end of the lane- spring indeed - joyous.
We went to communion in Sherborne Abbey - the service seemed extra beautiful this year with a reference to the Xmas day truce of 1914 in WW1 which included the soaring voices of the choir singing a verse of Silent Night - a really special spiritual experience.
