Saturday Morning At The Pictures

My Dear Fellow,

It was very hard leaving the flat this morning. Jasper was rolling over and over and being just adorable. It is the Law of Me that if there's a furry white tummy being waved at me I have to rub it. Call me funny if you will.

But I had to get out of the flat early, I had bought myself a ticket to see, "War For The Planet of the Apes" at the pictures at 9.55am. I love going to the cinema early in the day. You have the place practically to yourself, plus it is the only excuse you will ever get to eat a hotdog before midday.

The movie was very good, though quite sad. I had a bit of a sniffle because - well - just shut up up about it. It's odd though, I can quite happily sit through yuck murdery horror films in which people get sharp things shoved into, up or through places with nary a quiver, but seeing people being MEAN TO ANIMALS reduces me to jelly.

This probably says something disturbing about me. Moving on.

Afterward I went to John Lewis to buy Er Indoors a Surface Pro for work. She is very excited about this and it is a very stylish wee thing. So stylish in fact that I bought myself a Surface (non-Pro) for myself as well. It is powerful enough to run "Civilisation VI" on there. This is good and bad. Good because I enjoy the game, bad because it unleashes my inner Vincent Price.

BA-HA-HA-HAAAA!! Quake with fear you FOOLS!

It begins.

The other major accomplishment of today was buying Currywurst from Crombies. You know I had to try these, having had the real thing in Wiesbaden. So tonight for dinner it was chips & Currywurst and my own manufactured Currywurst sauce (Heinz ketchup with a ton of Madras curry powder dumped in there).

I think it was a successful experiment. The only problem was the Wurst themselves which were more like traditional bangers than an authentic German sausage. Still, I enjoyed my dinner anyway, even if it didn't transport me back to your neighbourhood.

And you know I don't approve of posting pictures of food, so instead you get a picture from inside Vue for today. But if you look at the extras...
