Mackintosh gives his seal of approval

We were delighted that Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh were able to visit the Mackintosh Church as part of the Creative Mackintosh Festival. They both really enjoyed their visit to the Glasgow School of Yarn event. Margaret was especially interested in the beautiful shawls and tried on some of the designs.

Well known socialite photographer Herbert Ambrose was in attendance to photograph the creative couple.

On the tour, Charles said he was overwhelmed at the efforts of the Mackintosh Society in promoting his work, and was delighted to see his building being used in such a creative way.

We hope they will return next year when the Mackintosh Society celebrates its 40th anniversary.
