The leaning tower of lasagne

Two late nights running and I was still awake at 7am! Had a steady start to a lovely Sunday morning. Today looked like being a much better day, weather wise.

Eggs benedict for breakfast and then the kitchen was open for business. Had lots to do, nigellas Calabrian lasagne was first up. It's got ham and eggs in it so I made it with an open mind! And it tasted v good! I've got plenty of it too.

Then did Jamie's beef and Guinness stew, which I love. And then did roast beef in red wine. In between I was making my own sausages, experimenting with different herbs. Need one of those fancy machines though as could only shape them as patties.

Was on my feet in the kitchen for about 6 hrs and never sat down. Whacked!

Tonight I intended to soak fruit for my delia creole chrimbo cake, but I've ran out of rum! That's tomorrow nights job then.

What a great weekend.
