Bamburgh Castle

We came here last in the early 1970s - so long ago that I have forgotten if it was before or after we were married. I was interested to see how much I remembered, and the answer was ... not much except the entrance and the Bamburgh Beastie, which was a newly discovered and a big feature at the time.

I hoped to replace my Bamburgh Beastie paper weight, bought on the first visit, a feature on my desk for many years and then lost without remembering when. The closest I could manage was a fridge magnet, an indirect sign of changing technologies I guess.
