We cycled from the waterfall car park at Eas Fors to the ferry point opposite Ulva and then further along the road until we found it too steep even with electric bikes ! 
We met a couple from Bridgnorth in Shropshire who were about to embark on a long hike up to the top of one of the Bens - quite arduous given it was such a rainy day ! 
We had coffee in Salen then back to the cottage and a walk later to Hauun . We also spotted deer on the crag side. The cuckoo is calling constantly- there are several and lots of swallows swooping and diving . Magical .
