Summer Cuppa at da Isles

A cloudy and windy morning.  The sun finally came out, and a sunny afternoon and evening.  Lovely and warm, and the winds calmed too.

Last day off, and up early.  Headed out walkies with Sammy in the morning, and popped by Madeline's for a cuppa.  The afternoon was spent in the peat hill, raising the peats.  Been off to the isles with the boat tonight.  Off to bed early.

Finally a proper summer day, and made the most of it, sunset is 2239hrs.  While we were out at sea, there was plenty of tirricks, puffins, and other birds, but sadly not seeing any bonxies (great skua).  They've been hit badly with avian influenza, along with the Solans (gannets). I do hope things improve soon for them, they are a true sound of summer.  After a walk around the isle, we stopped for an evening cuppa in the sunshine.  Peerie Brian and Sammy, Julie and Keba, taken at Hildasay.
