Firle Beacon
It was very cold this morning, and grey. I took this picture on my lunchtime walk when it was still grey and cold!
The photo shows Firle Beacon in the distance - according to Wikipedia:
“Firle Beacon is a hill in the South Downs of southern England. It is 217 metres high and is a Marilyn. It commands a far-reaching view. When the prevailing wind is northerly, the site is often used for gliding activities like slope soaring.”
Elevation: 217 m
Prominence: 196 m
In my world, this is a place popular with walkers, runners and cyclists. It is on the South Downs Way, which I highly recommend.
This evening was grim - cold and wet. I almost wimped out of my run, but managed to push though my own resistance.
What happened to spring?
