A Light Shower

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Today was Corrie's baby shower!  We met Shenée and Craig in Paremata and they drove us down to the venue. 

I had never been to a baby shower before and Caro said this was nothing like a traditional shower anyway. Apparently they are typically just about unwrapping baby related presents while everyone coos and there are no men and it is sh1t*.

But this was different! There was music and a barbecue and a nappy raffle** and quizzes! It was actually a HOOT.

And Siu looked very proud and Corrie looked glamorous and lovely even though she reckons she is just three weeks away from delivery.

"Hopefully just A WEEK," she added, rolling her eyes. "I am SO SICK of being pregnant."

After the shower, Shenée and Craig picked up Gabby the Vizsla dog and we all went out for a snack at Salty's Diner. 

It was so lovely to be with them again. We always have a good time and they were as much fun as ever. 

PLUS, Shenée finally gave us our Xmas present!***
