Obligatory….

….marmalade photo!
Woke very early and couldn’t get back to sleep, so just started the day and was up dressed and had done Duolingo and word games, read papers and sorted laundry by 7.30!
Went to get the rest of the food shopping I needed then home and had breakfast and got the fruit on to boil for the marmalade. Had to jump up a few times in my zoom call with VG to check the temperature and it was ready to get into the jars after we finished. Added a good glug of Campari too…think it will go well with the oranges, lemons and grapefruit. Can’t wait to try it!
Did a big clean up of the kitchen then got on with making the various things for dinner this evening (guacamole, spanakopita, Greek salad and Ottonghi’s fennel and roasted grape salad, chocolate mousse and sour cherry amaretti biscuits).
Cleaned up around the flat then had a rest and a read for a while to chill out before LE and LL arrived and we chatted non stop for a couple of hours as we ate. Caught up with what we’ve all been doing, jobs, plans, and wedding arrangements for LL’s daughter.
After they’d left (clutching their jars of marmalade!) A called and we made some plans for the weekend then I had an early night….seem to have been busy today!
