Picklery

We walked over to Bruntsfield to have a browse and a wander, but quite a lot of the shops weren’t open til 11am so we went for a coffee at Artisan Roast then browsed some more before walking over to Mara’s Picklery for lunch. We had a delicious spread of very tasty sharing plates….
After lunch we walked down to Fruitmarket gallery to browse another craft fair (not as good as Summerhall’s yesterday) and then on through the St James’ Centre, looking in part for some new bedding for S and having a restorative cup of tea in John Lewis.
We went to see Conclave after LauraM had recommended it and really enjoyed it….I thought I’d guessed the twist at the end but I hadn’t and it was an excellent surprise. Well worth seeing, with great cinematography and amazing settings. The only slightly offputting thing for me was that Stanley Tucci was in it being very much himself and I couldn’t see him as a Cardinal!
Home for the Strictly result (the right decision) and then another Black Doves episode.
