Progress

Up and sorted the things I needed to post then walked to EFI via the post office. I was a bit early and when I was waiting I bumped into PE and then JJ….nice to see them both. JH arrived and we had our coffee and a good chat for an hour before she went off to listen in to an all staff meeting and I enjoyed a walk home via the Meadows in beautiful strong but low sunlight. S was home shortly after, having been to an exhibition at Dovecot, and we headed over to Straiton for me to take back some stuff and we had a wander around a few other shops whilst we were there. Stopped briefly at the Range to take back some more unwanted purchases from the other day on our way to Portobello for a good walk along the prom and back (with a stop for some tea and lovely cake at the Beach House). Beautiful light over the sky, especially on our way back as it was approaching dusk just before 4pm, and lovely to get some cold crisp fresh air but without a wind.
When we got home we got busy, wrapping presents, framing and hanging a picture, putting fairy lights up, chatting to A on her way home and feeding the Christmas cake for the last time before it’s time to marzipan and ice it.
We had an M&S gastropub supper, which was very tasty although very filling and then watched the penultimate episode of Black Doves…very tense! I spent most of the time avoiding looking at the screen (mad, I know) but it’s a cracking yarn!
