Dead Wood

This must have been an all too frequent sight across the country today.

We have a beautiful line of chestnut trees guarding the main road through the village but sadly we have lost two during the last few weeks. Some of them are diseased because they turn brown quite early each Summer often in August but it's such a shame. I drive swiftly past them when it's windy just in case...........!
