Bananas and Birthdays

I'm on week 6 of my course now, and every weekend my mother in law has given me a packed lunch - Saturday and Sunday!! Sometimes I have grapes - carefully washed and packed in a plastic cup. The cup is covered in cling film and secured with an elastic band. However, whenever I have a banana, as I did today, it is bubble wrapped!

Clearly, I am a terrible mother as I send my son to school with fruit haphazardly thrown into his lunch bag :-( I think I may have redeemed myself slightly with 6 or 7 years of carefully crafted Postman Pat toast and, more recently, dinosaur toast.....:)

He's 10 today and I missed celebrating his birthday with him (more bad mummy points!) He went to a Harlequins match with his Dad to make up for it and had his name on the big screen!! I think I'm forgiven :-)
