Party time!

A day trip to Lancaster on Saturday. My God-daughter celebrates her 16th birthday on Sunday and it has become something of a tradition for me to travel down on the Saturday nearest her birthday. So it was off down the M74 on Saturday morning and, because of other commitments, back up at night.

In between, though, there was time for drinks (soft in my case) and nibbles in the afternoon, followed by dinner and birthday cake in the evening.

The driving makes it a long day, but it is also a good one.
