The missing pieces from the greenhouse roof.

The Feast Day of Fulbert of Chartres.
It is cold and cloudy this morning and I went to give Jenny last week's copy of The People 's Friend.
Then I visited the canal. The female mother swan was sitting peacefully on her nest with the nine pale blue eggs. I didn't stay there long but came home to fill up the bird feeders and have some breakfast.
I watched Jeremy Vine for a while.
My photo today shows how yesterday afternoon, the wind dislodged two of the polycarbonate pieces from our new greenhouse. I was devastated. Paul and me found one piece, thankfully unbroken in the garden and the other piece had blown into the neighbour's hedge. Polycarbonate is very light and we had no idea the wind could blow out the panels. So on the next dry day, Paul is going to seal the panels in. After the palaver with the first two greenhouses, again damaged by gusty wind, he had already sealed down the foundation of this greenhouse with strong grey slabs.
I have taken all the seedlings out of the shelves in the greenhouse and placed them in the shelter of a low wall in the garden. The pea shoots are on a plant stand in the utility room. They are safe there from the plant loving cats!
The Avon lady, M, called round with my Avon products. My nails on my right hand are breaking and very dry so I bought some nail serum and cuticle cream. I hope it helps. I bought some Cherish fragrance.
I am glad I got my outside tasks completed, because already heavy rain is pouring down. 8c feels like 5c.
Have a good day blip friends and stay safe.
Steps 6052. Mostly indoors due to the rain.
